Climax is a village in southwestern Saskatchewan, just north of the U.S. border, in the Rural Municipality of Lone Tree No. 18. It sits on Highway 18 between Frontier and Canuck, and on Highway 37 between Shaunavon and the Port of Climax.
The community took its name from Climax, Minnesota, the home town of an early homesteader, Christ Fuglestad. Climax incorporated as a village on December 11, 1923.
The village has produced a few names in hockey. Gord Kluzak and Shaun Van Allen both played in the NHL, and Willie Desjardins went on to coach the Vancouver Canucks.
